Patagonia reinforced the waterproof and windproof design with a H2NO membrane, but there's still a degree of breathable comfort through the inner polyester mesh lining (it's made from recycled polyester, too). The hood detaches with a zipper/snap design that's perfect for those situations when you don't need it or you want to opt for a hat.
